Fishing - The hit for our guests

Your host will be happy to help and advise you if you want to combine your holiday with us with fishing. You can get expert tips and tricks from an experienced source from the junior boss himself, himself a passionate angler and long-time member of the Kleinsee Fishing Club. Particularly popular with our youngest guests: trial fishing for children. "Catch guarantee" included. Due to the length of our bathing jetty, our lido is ideal for whitefish, carp, pike and perch fishing! Fishing at the Kleinsee or Klopeiner See

Lake Kleinsee is one of the most beautiful fishing waters in Carinthia with its protected reed belt, breeding ground for many bird species, a really wonderfully idyllic natural lake, about 500 m from the Florianihof. The lake is about 9 hectares in size. The lake, which is located west of Klopein, is largely surrounded by a belt of reeds. Depth up to 9 m. The banks are partly undermined and, like the water lily fields, offer the fish ideal shelters. A species-rich fish population is available. A fish species unusual for domestic waters, the black bass, was naturalized through stocking measures. Fish stock: carp, tench, various white fish (bream, rudd, aitel...), whitefish, pike, zander, catfish, black bass.  Restrictions: Max. removal - 1 predatory fish (pike, zander or catfish) + 1 coarse fish (carp or tench) or 2 coarse fish or 3 whitefish. Black bass spared all year round, live bait and landing nets are prohibited. Lake Klopeiner See has a size of 1.1 km² and a depth of up to 46 m. Fish stock: carp, tench, pike, zander, various whitefish, whitefish. Interesting for anglers are carp and pike fishing, as well as whitefish in spring. In summer, water temperatures up to 28 degrees Celsius.

Waters for fly fishing

The Vellach is a fly fishing water over 20 km long - a wildly romantic, crystal-clear river with very good fish stocks - and about 8 km from the Florianihof. Other interesting fishing waters in the immediate vicinity: Turnersee, Gösselsdorfer See, reservoir with rich floodplain landscape, various ponds... And a stone's throw across the border: the Soca, the pearl of Slovenia, the Emerald River with the unique "Marmasata" is about 110 km away.
